This course provides an overview of anti-discrimination legislation and strategies for dealing with racial and hate crimes, discrimination and harassment in a social and private sector housing context. It uses the new Equalities legislation as a base for understanding the concept of hate crimes, based on a wide variety of actual and perceived characteristics which are now protected by law.
